ShifaTH guide

When is a passport required?

A passport is not required for every visit to ShifaTH or every inquiry. The requirement follows the selected action.

01

Browsing and Hospital general inquiry

Browse published Provider information without a passport. Hospital general inquiry does not require passport completion or reports, although it starts from a selected patient profile and requires sign-in to submit.

02

Cost and medical requests

General cost questions not tied to a clinical case may be allowed with an incomplete profile. Patient-specific medical requests, report submission and official Hospital appointment requests need their required identity and passport information.

03

Other Provider categories

Basic Clinic price or availability inquiries do not require a passport by default; report review can require one under the approved rule. Non-medical categories do not require passports, identity documents or reports by default. Approved service rules can differ.

04

Required does not mean already shared

Check your request’s missing requirements. When first delivery is required, you see the receiving Provider and decide. A passport saved in the profile is not automatically available to all Providers.
