ShifaTH guide

For patients and people arranging care

Explore Providers, explain what you need, and follow the next step in ShifaTH—for yourself or someone whose patient profile you manage.

01

Explore before you sign in

Read participating Providers’ published information. Services, professional profiles and verified-visit reviews can help you prepare questions. Published information does not guarantee suitability or professional availability.

02

Choose a request

Hospitals have general inquiry, price or cost inquiry, medical case review and appointment request. Clinics and other supported categories use inquiry and appointment request. Their requirements differ.

03

Use the right patient profile

A patient profile is separate from your sign-in account. You can manage your own profile or another person’s supported profile. Ownership, delegated permissions and action-specific requirements determine what you can do.

04

Share and communicate deliberately

Choose which report versions to send. A private upload does not send a report to a Provider. Direct in-platform communication is the core model; a configured coordinated flow uses separate platform messages.

05

Follow appointments and visits

An appointment request is a preference until an authorized process creates the official appointment. Attendance is confirmed separately. After confirmed attendance, the request creator may become eligible to review the visit.

06

Keep each Provider relationship separate

The Hospital flow can contact several participating Hospitals. Each has its own request, conversation and authorized information. Clinical decisions and care remain with the Provider.
