Identity checks and passport requirements depend on what you are doing in ShifaTH.
Account identity verification is separate from profile completeness. The User completes identity verification with a selfie. Creating another person’s patient profile does not, by itself, require that patient’s selfie.
Sending patient identity or reports, submitting a medical case review or an official Hospital appointment request, and claiming an existing profile require their approved verification and information. Public browsing does not require a passport.
A patient can have historical passport records and one current active record. When extraction is available, review and correct proposed fields before confirming them. Extraction does not silently overwrite approved patient data.
Replacing a passport creates a new record and version. It does not automatically send that version to every Provider. Required first delivery is evaluated separately for each Provider and current version.
