Patient profiles
Your account is how you sign in. A patient profile keeps one person’s information and history connected in ShifaTH.
Your account and the patient profile serve different purposes
The person using an account may be the patient or someone managing care for them. The patient profile belongs to the patient’s identity and history, regardless of who currently has permission to manage it.
One account can manage more than one patient
Where you have the required access, you can manage your own profile and profiles for other people. Each patient has a separate profile for their documents, requests and appointments. A patient can have a profile before creating their own account.
Start with the information you have
You can save an incomplete profile and complete it later. A profile can exist before a passport is added. Saving it does not mean every action is available.
Complete what the next action needs
Requirements depend on what you want to do. A basic inquiry can have fewer requirements than a patient-specific medical request or an official appointment action. Identity and passport checks apply where that action requires them.
Keep one patient history connected
ShifaTH checks for an existing active profile so the same patient does not need another one. If a patient later creates and verifies their own account, they can claim their existing profile through the approved process. Their documents, requests and appointment history stay attached to that same profile.
