How patient information is shared
Public Provider information and private patient information serve different purposes. Your private information is not available to every participating Provider.
Public information and private patient data
Public profiles, services and other published Provider content can be browsed before sign-in. Patient information, medical documents and private request details are separate from that public content.
Sharing belongs to a specific Provider relationship
ShifaTH shares or authorizes information through a specific Provider’s request or conversation flow. The Provider receives the information allowed for that relationship, rather than general access to your patient profile or private vault.
Documents and identity have their own rules
Medical documents are sent as selected versions within the relevant flow. Passport delivery is evaluated for each Provider and current passport version, including whether that Provider already received it. A private upload does not itself deliver a file.
Access depends on current permission
Within the receiving Provider, roles and permissions govern access to patient details and delivered files. Current authorization and file availability also matter. A Provider relationship does not let every member see every piece of patient information.
What does not happen automatically
Private vault documents are not sent simply because they were uploaded. Medical-summary information and individual medical details kept in a profile are not automatically sent to a Provider either. Contacting one Provider does not expose your relationships, conversations or delivered data with another.
Read the boundary that matters to your next step
Use the passport, document-sharing and Provider-isolation explanations for the information you are preparing to send. The external-copy explanation covers what can happen after an authorized Provider downloads a file.
