Sharing documents with a Provider
Sharing means sending a selected document version within a specific Provider request or conversation. Keeping it privately in ShifaTH is a separate step.
Choose what to send
Select the documents needed for the relevant request or message. Medical reports are explicitly selected for each request where that flow requires them; they are not taken automatically from the whole patient vault.
Check the intended Provider relationship
Sharing is tied to a particular Provider, request or message and requires permission to send the selected file. Check which Provider will receive it. A private upload alone does not create delivery.
The selected version is the one delivered
ShifaTH delivers the authorized version selected for that flow. If you later replace the file, that does not automatically replace the version already delivered or send the new version.
Provider access follows permissions
Members of the receiving Provider can view or download delivered documents only where their roles and permissions allow it and the platform file remains available. Sending a file does not give every employee access.
Sharing with one Provider stays with that Provider
Delivery to one Provider does not make the document available to another. Passport delivery has its own rules for each Provider and the current passport version; it is not the same as selecting ordinary medical reports.
Understand copies outside ShifaTH
An authorized Provider may download or save a delivered file outside ShifaTH. Deleting the platform copy cannot recall an independent copy the Provider has already retained. Read the external-copy explanation before sharing.
