ShifaTH guide

Privacy and your data actions

Understand the platform’s data-action workflows and where their scope ends.

01

Choose the action that fits

Account closure stops account use. Profile erasure handles eligible platform-controlled patient data. Export retrieves data you may access. Restricted-data correction requests a reviewed change. These are separate operations.

02

Access does not expand

An export contains only data you are currently authorized to access. It excludes hidden coordinated-mode messages, private Organization or platform notes, other patients’ data and secrets. Corrections use the owning process and preserve necessary history.

03

Platform control has a limit

ShifaTH does not control a Provider’s independent medical-record, appointment or file system. Platform erasure does not delete independent copies, and it does not create or track an external-copy deletion request.

04

Search and privacy concerns

Raw public search text is restricted operational data, not public or Provider-visible history. You can raise a privacy concern through the private support process. Data actions still take place through their dedicated procedures.
